Casa Calma guide
Getting to Dominicalito, Costa Rica
Dominicalito is easier to reach than its unspoiled setting suggests. Sitting between Dominical and Uvita on the Central Pacific coast, it is a comfortable drive from San José and just minutes from the small regional airport at Quepos.

Flying in
Most international visitors fly into San José (SJO). From there, a short domestic hop with a regional carrier such as SANSA or Costa Rica Green Airways connects to Quepos (XQP), which is roughly a 35-minute drive from Dominicalito.
Liberia International Airport (LIR) is another entry point further north, though it is a longer road journey down the coast.
Approximate drive times
From Quepos Airport (XQP) the drive is around 35 minutes. From San José (SJO) plan on roughly 3.5 to 4 hours by car, and from Liberia (LIR) closer to 5 hours. These times are approximate and vary with traffic, weather, and road conditions.
A rental vehicle gives you the freedom to reach beaches, waterfalls, and the restaurants of Uvita and Dominical at your own pace, though private transfers are also widely available.
